SANTACO Policy Conference objectives
The Policy Conference seeks to:
1. Through discussion, conduct a high-level review and necessary amendments to the SANTACO Constitution to ensure it accurately reflects the current needs and future aspirations of the taxi industry, ensuring governance frameworks are robust and adaptive
2. Aim to ensure that all SANTACO policies and their implementations are in sync with its Constitution to improve governance and professionalisation across the industry.
3. Focus on developing and reforming policies that align with the Lekgotla Resolutions to enhance safety, efficiency, and competitiveness within the taxi industry.
4. Engage various stakeholders to unify efforts and address industry challenges, and promote collaborative strategies for sustainable industry development.
5. Enhance policies to support inclusivity, focusing on gender inclusion and economic empowerment, while also advancing skills development and professional training within the industry.
6. Drive innovation through the adoption of new technologies and modernisation strategies to improve service delivery and operational efficiencies, setting a strategic direction for the taxi industry's future sustainability and growth.
